My Philosophy

I employ an energetic, structured and highly detailed approach to equine training and stable manangement. Ranch raised, but classically trained, I have become accustomed to the demands of an array of horses and equestrians. I believe in a well organized stable and thoroughly trained Staff with clear responsibilities and duties. This allows for an impressively effortless and smoothly functioning barn, leaving more time to meet the diverse needs of my charge and my clients.

I approach the equine-human partnership by creating a system of constant dialog with horse and then teach my riders to continue that relationship with their mount. Systematically, I educate the horse and rider to develop their skills and mutual trust in order that each horse-rider team is safe, well prepared and highly functional.

While I consider my forte to be Young and/or Difficult Problem Horses, I have directed my career to the Show Jumper and Show Hunter Arena's. I am however, still very comfortable in a Western Saddle and embrace my cowboy roots. Reining, Western Pleasure, Trail, and Barrel Race Horses are well within my scope. From Pony to Grand Prix we ride with Joy, Passion and Structure.
